Prepare: Define Resources and Rules
Select from the pre-defined resources, or define your own resources relevant to your terminal or port operations, whether it is cranes & machines, shore-side or sea-side facilities like ramps, barges, tugs or labour, specialists and work teams.
The volume of resources is forecasted automatically based on the rules defined once and for all per line, vessel type or size, service or even specific vessel.

The rules describe resource assignments and their dependencies. For instance assigning one quay crane may result in automatic assignment of three RTGs, six prime movers and drivers. The chain of rules causes maximal automation and flexibility for the planners.
Forecast: Instant Overview of Resources Required
If the rules have been setup then importing the expected vessels' ETA/ETD enables fully automated resources forecast for all vessels per time slot done in a graphical view and clearly showing the peaks of resource demands.

Refresh ETA/ETD import, and the resources forecast is instantly refreshed too giving you an up-to-date overview of resources required at any time.
Plan: Resources Assigned
Assign specific resources or fine-tune the automatically forecasted resource volumes in your planning function. Assign resources to pre-defined shifts reflecting the actual labour resource planning in your terminal.

Manage events, get an overview over multiple days or weeks, of which and how many resources are required on the terminal or in the port, and when.

Resources depending on vessels ETA/ETD are still re-scheduled automatically when ETA/ETDs are refreshed.
Share: Distribute and Re-use
Distribute the summary of planned resources to relevant internal departments, or to external partners, by email as graphical overviews (PDF), re-workable extracts (Excel), or re-use the labour plan electronically in your LMS labour management system adding specific skills and individuals to the plan.
