How do I sign up?
Go to Sign-up page, fill in the form, and we will contact you shortly with your login and password and e-mail you an invoice with initial usage and subscription payments. As soon as payment is completed, you will have full access to the system.
What is physical location of servers?
There are 5 geographically dispersed redundant data centers running web-hosting, emailing, other networks services and security infrastructure. The locations are Houston, Dallas and Chicago, USA. The architecture of the network has no single point of failure due to the redundancy having total 250+ Gb/s throughput, connected to the Tier 1 bandwidth providers.
How secure are the hosting premises?
The data centers are equipped with automated climate control system, biometric access control including man traps and cab locks. There is a complete pre-fire laser-based detection and fire suppression system.
Any other customers on this hosting?

What is the emailing capacity of CMS packages?
All three CMS packages have the same email capacity by default - 400 emails an hour sent from the company domain. You can find below all limitations related to emailing - these limitations are valid for the shared hosting type which is default and set as an anti-spam measure. All three CMS packages can be deployed onto more expensive dedicated hosting which doesn't have emailing limitations.
Emailing limitations for CMS deployed on shared hosting.
1. Each Customer's account is allowed to send a maximum of 400 emails per hour.
2. Each email sent by the Customer should have NO more than 40 recipients. Sending a single email to more than 40 recipients simultaneously is prohibited as a spam prevention measurement.
3. The use of email clients with IMAP protocol is allowed for mailboxes with a maximum size up to 200MB. Any use of the IMAP protocol with a larger mailbox is endangering the overall server performance.
4. The use of email clients with POP3 protocol is allowed for mailboxes with a maximum size up to 200MB. Any use of the POP3 protocol with a larger mailbox is endangering the overall server performance.
5. If the email message sent to or from the Customer mailbox has spam scores calculated by the SPAM Assassin daemon greater than 15, the message will automatically be discarded.
6. If the Customer receives more than 60 emails per minute at any given time, his/her email account might be temporarily blocked or his/her MX Records might be temporarily changed. This is done automatically as a spam prevention measurement.
How to remove limits on the emailing capacity?
For removing emailing capacity limitations you need a different hosting plan - so-called dedicated hosting - which doesn't have limitations of the standard shared hosting. Please refer to the 'Unlimited emailing' feature description in the E-BUSINESS section of Features page.
Can I use/install Microsoft Exchange Server on the hosting and use it as emailing server?
No, we offer Unix based hosting only. You can't install Microsoft Exchange Server. You can still use any of your preferred email clients with our standard email server.
Standard ports are blocked by my internet provider so I can't send emails. What to do?
Try to change SMTP port to 2525.
I want to send and receive my emails via secure protocols. What ports do I use?
Use 995 for secured POP3, 993 for secured IMAP, and 465 for secured SMTP.
What graphics formats I can use on my website?
The graphics on the website can be of any format recognized by the modern web browsers: jpg, gif, png. Little guide for you:
- best quality for photos: png-24;
- best quality for schemes: png-8;
- best size: jpg.
Which browser should I use?

e-Yield suite is hosted on servers located with a professional hosting provider, securing power, cooling and high speed internet access at any time.
When is the platform available?
The scheduled up-time is Sunday to Friday full days. Downtime on Saturday may happen unannounced. However, if no maintenance work is planned by arl-shipping.com, then platform is available all Saturday also.
Is the platform secure?
The front-end is publicly available. The back-end containing your confidential data is secured by personal authentication and strong encryption. Front-end has access to the back-end by a message layer only, i.e. no direct access which can be mis-used. Network security automatically blocks those IP which do brute force attacks on various accounts via various protocols (POP, SMTP, HTTP, FTP, etc).
What do I do in case of mis-use or suspected mis-use?
You report it to arl-shipping.com support, and if deemed required, to your local authorities.
Costs and Payment
What does it cost?
Check prices on the sign-up forms for individual modules. Notice that some add-ons can be selected or de-selected.
What are the start-up fees?
Zero, only a pre-payment for subscription and a minimal number of transactions applies, and you can start.
What are the upgrade fees?
Upgrade fees are similar to normal fees, so if you choose to only try an add-on or a new module later, you just postpone paying for it until you are ready.
Which other computer investments do i need?
Zero, e-Yield is a hosted platform. You just use your regular office PC's with internet browser and access to the internet. No servers or technical setup is required.
How am I get paid for the Google Ads shown on my website?
You will be credited according to the amount generated in Google Ads in the next invoice from us.
Service & Support
How do I create more users, add new products and services?
Your own administrator can create additional users. And your users can add and maintain products, schedules, capacities, prices and more. No need to contact arl-shipping.com support - you are fully self-powered.
Can I get help for using the system?
Online documentation is available, both in the form of getting started documentation, user guide, a business oriented knowledge base, and context sensitive help available from within the back-office platform.

Do I need to install any software?
No software installation is required.
How do I get started?
You either do all setup yourself, using the online documentation available, including the 'Getting Started' manual, or you ask consulting or education assistance from the ARL team.
Any specific considerations when implementing?
Yes, there are things to consider depending on which kind of transport organisation is deploying e-Yield suite. Request a workshop or consulting services for indepth assistance for shipping line with own agent, shipping line with foreign agent, short sea or ro-ro operator, rail or barge inland provider, multi-modal operator, NVO/NVOCC, agent for transport provider or LCL transportation company.
Integration & Co-Existance
Does this platform take over all my operations?
No, the e-Yield suite is a commercial platform supporting the commercial export process. You still need your current systems to manage operations and import.
Will the e-Yield suite support my operations in future?
This will happen gradually. The first operational modules are a dispatch function to manage pick-up and delivery, and a deployment module to manage concrete transport assets. The deployment module will later be connected to a full network and deployment management suite, optimizing the use of your transport assets.
How do I transfer my e-Yield transactions to my operational and financial systems?
You can extract freight quotes, bookings and payment data to your operational system and your finance package, either as the transactions are committed by the customer, or in a batch upon closing of booking for a departure. Data can be transferred as ebXML/ EDI or CSV/Excel format.
